Each Walt Disney World theme park (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom) has a Baby Center that parents of small children should use liberally (although they are open to all guests who can benefit from them).  The Baby Centers include feeding areas for infants and toddlers with high chairs as well as kitchen conveniences like microwaves to warm bottles.  There are also separate nursing rooms.  It’s a great place to stop for a break and a quiet meal for your little one.

The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival began earlier this month, and the pirate theme is heavily featured.  As guests enter the park through the turnstiles, they are greeted by a huge topiary depicting a pirate ship, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and Captain Hook.  As an added surprise, Stitch makes an appearance behind the pirate ship.

Floridians love Crocs.  I’m not sure if they are popular in other parts of the country, but everyone wears them in Florida.  Men, women, children, everyone wears Crocs.  They are particularly popular for guests at Walt Disney World as a comfortable option for long days on your feet at the theme parks.

The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is in full swing at Walt Disney World.  This afternoon, I brought my triplets back for the first time this year.  One of their favorite parts of the Flower and Garden Festival last year was Minnie’s Magnficent Butterfly Garden.  I wasn’t sure if they would be as enthusiastic about the butterfly garden this year, but they were.  They screamed with excitement and were amazed by the many colorful butterflies they saw.

Did you know Walt Disney World has a number of traditional playgrounds located throughout their resorts.  Each playground is free for guests to use, and they can provide a great break from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks.  Whether your family is spending time on the playground at the resort where you’re staying or you stop by a different resort to rest, grab a snack and enjoy the uniquely themed decor and ambiance, there will be a playground available for your kids to expend more of their endless energy.

Beaches and Cream Soda Shop at Walt Disney World’s Beach Club is a hidden gem when it comes to restaurants on Disney property.  This restaurant is themed like a 1950s soda and fountain shop in every way.  From the decor and cast member costumes to the authentic juke box which plays a wide variety of classic favorites from the family-centric, mid-century music catalog, you’ll feel like you stepped back in time.

Walt Disney World’s Spring Savings Promotion provides a great opportunity for families to stay in a Disney hotel for as low as $84 per night.  Rates are valid most nights from April 15, 2007 – May 16, 2007 at select value resorts.  Guests who stay at a Disney resort can also take advantage of Disney’s Magical Express transportation to and from the Orlando International Airport.
