Parents Can Have Some Alone Time Thanks to Disney’s Kids Nite Out Service
Many parents would love to have some time to themselves for a romantic dinner or evening out dancing, but that can be hard to do when you’re on vacation. Disney had that in mind when the created the Kids Nite Out program at Walt Disney World. Parents can drop their children off at a Children’s Activity Center available at many Walt Disney World resorts or arrange for in-room childcare then enjoy some quiet time to themselves.Walt Disney World’s Children’s Activity Centers feature a fun-filled Disney environment with professional caretakers (CPR and first aid trained), computer games, Disney movies, dinner and snacks. The centers are open to children ages 4-12 and can be found at the following Disney resorts:
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Disney’s Polynesian Resort - Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort - Walt Disney World Swan Resort
- The Villas at Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Additionally, The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa offers three more fun activities for children ages 4-10:
- Grand Adventures in Cooking: Children paint aprons, decorate their own chef hats and cook up yummy treats.
- Wonderland Tea Party: Children join Alice and her friends for lunch, cupcakes and tea.
- Disney’s Pirate Adventure: Children put on pirate costumes and set sail on a pirate ship to find buried treasure.
Parents can call Kid’s Nite Out at (407) 828-0290 seven days a week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. to get all the details about Children’s Activity Centers or in-room childcare.

Yay! Awesome new blog. I think we’ll be able to do some cross-linking here and there. I’m looking forward to being a regular visitor here.
Hi Julie. Thanks for stopping by! I’m sure I’ll be spending a lot of time on your blog, too and sharing links, etc!
Hey happy launch! Is this your old blog? Your Disney blog… moved here? If so that’s pretty cool. Hope you have much success here with the Travel Channel
Hi Jennifer,
Yes, my old Disney blog moved into the b5media network. I’m very excited to be part of the Travel Channel!
We used the Neverland Club in January ‘07. Everything that could have gone wrong that night did, so I’m sure it’s skewed my view a little bit, but this is as honest of an impression as I can give:
Very cute (but hard to find) Peter Pan-themed clubhouse at the Polynesian. You can take the monorail there, but you can also walk from the Magic Kingdom. (You don’t want to know how I found this out! lol)
The kids walk into the Playroom through a door shaped like the Darling’s bedroom window. There are games, video games, toys, crafts, dress-up items, etc. They feed your kids if your there at certain times and pay for supper. It’s simple but tasty and pretty nutritious. They give you a vibrating pager ($40-$50 deposit at check-in) in case there’s a problem.
Overall, we weren’t impressed. For all the wonderful things I’d heard, the only unique thing was the door. I’d hoped it would be a night out for them and us, but imo, that’s not really the way it turned out. I wouldn’t send them to the Neverland Club again, but one of the children’s activities might be a better selection.
Thank you for taking the time to give your review, Hil! I’m hoping The Disney Traveler becomes an interactive site where everyone can give their honest opinions! I’m sorry you didn’t have a great experience at the Neverland Club, but I’m glad you shared your story.
