Apply to be the Next Disney CMO (Chief Magic Official)
Would you like to work for Disney for a year and travel to Walt Disney World and the Disneyland destinations to help create magical experiences? Are you free to travel during the week, weekends or on holidays to attend special Disney events (up to 8 times within a 12-month period for a total of 12-32 work days)?
If you answered yes to those questions, you just might qualify to be Disney’s Chief Magic Official.
The new CMO position is meant to be part of Disney’s Year of a Million Dreams promotion. One lucky person will be chosen to become the one and only Chief Magic Official from May 1 2008 – April 30, 2009. That person will be paid an hourly rate plus airfaire, accomodations and a spending allowance. He or she will also get 20 1-day tickets to the Disney parks.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to fill the CMO role for Disney, visit the Disney Dream Job website and fill out an aptitude test. If you pass, you’ll have to send in a 60 second video by January 27, 2008 describing why you’re the right Disney fan for the job.
The top ten videos will be posted on the website for people to vote for their favorite. The three people whose videos receive the most votes will have to go to Walt Disney World to participate in a three-day competition where they’ll be tested on their knowledge, creativity and enthusiasm. The competition will be taped and the new videos will again be put on the website for people to vote for their favorite. This time winner takes all and becomes the new Disney Chief Magic Official.
If being Disney’s Chief Magic Official is your dream job, then hurry over to the Disney Dream Job website to take the aptitude test and post your video before the January 27th deadline. I would love to do it, but with 3-year old triplets, there is no way I can meet the travel requirements. I’m so bummed!
By the way, the best place to get all the details about the job requirements is in the full contest rules.
