The Disney Traveler

One of The Disney Traveler’s readers asked me to post information as I find it for sweepstakes where entrants have a chance to win trips to Disney theme parks, so I did some poking around today and found something interesting.

If you’re a Disney fan, you’ve probably heard that 2007 was Disney’s first ‘Year of a Million Dreams’ promotion where Disney cast members walked around Walt Disney World and Disneyland parks handing out prizes to random guests, including a day in the Magic Kingdom with no other guests, overnight visits in Cinderella’s Castle and more. The ‘Year of a Million Dreams’ promotion has been extended through 2008.

Now, here’s the interesting part. Did you know you don’t have to be in a Disney theme park to have a chance to win a prize, including several trips to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, a Disney cruise and more? Entries must be received by mail before December 31, 2008, which means there is still lots of time to have a chance to win with this sweepstakes.

You can read the complete rules and get all the details about the various prizes available to people who enter the sweepstakes by mail on the Disney Dreams Giveaway web page. One of the most important parts of the rules and regulations you can find through that website are the entry details. Here’s how to enter (taken from the official rules on the Disney Dreams Giveaway website):

Also, starting on December 19, 2007, eligible participants can enter without being present in a Disney Property by hand-writing their full name, complete mailing address (including postal code), daytime telephone number (including area code), and date of birth on a piece of paper or postcard and sending it with proper postage affixed to: P.O. Box 8650, Elmhurst, IL 60126, USA or if a legal resident of the UK: 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway,483 Green Lanes, Suite 200, London N13 4BS, England. Limit one mail-in entry per person per day during the Giveaway Period. All mail-in entries must be mailed separately, postmarked on or between December 19, 2007 and December 31, 2008 and received by January 14, 2009 or they will be void.
