Last year, Joshua Peterson of Eustis, Florida was exiting Mission: Space in Walt Disney World’s Epcot park when Disney Cast Members told him he won the Grand Marshal World Tour prize as part of Disney’s Year of a Million Dreams. Joshua will kick off his role as Grand Marshal by appearing in the parade at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom on Wednesday. After that, he’ll fly with three other family members to each Disney theme park around the world. The prize package is valued at over $45,000. What a cool prize!

Yesterday, I posted part 1 of Epcot’s 2008 International Flower and Garden Festival at Walt Disney World in pictures. Today, I’ll follow up with some more of the sights from this year’s event.

I was at Epcot for a few hours yesterday evening and snapped some pictures of the topiaries at the 2008 International Flower and Garden Festival.

The theme this year is Fun in the Sun. Beach music plays around the park and the topiaries and decorations are all made with that theme in mind.

Unfortunately, Hong Kong Disneyland has been a disappointment to Disney in terms of visitors. I found a cool video on YouTube today that shows Adventureland in Hong Kong Disneyland. It’s great to see the sites, but at the same time, it’s sad that there are so few people there.

Rumor has it new attractions are slated to open at Hong Kong Disneyland in the coming years. Hopefully, that will help boost attendance.

The Disney Cruise Line will add two new ships to its fleet in 2011 and 2012. DisneyGossip.com reports that German shipbuilder Meyer Werft is where the ships will be built.
The question remains, what will the ships be called? Rumor has it Disney Dream and Disney Celebration may be the names of choice. What do you think of those names?

TMZ started this rumor, so I’m not sure how accurate it is but having seen nothing to deny it yet, I’m going to share it. Apparently, Disney is planning to add characters from Disney animated movies to the It’s a Small World attraction at Disneyland in California.
This is something Disney has already done in Hong Kong Disneyland, but it will be new in the original It’s a Small World ride. New character additions could include Abu from Aladdin in the Middle Eastern part of the ride and Stitch from Lilo and Stitch in the Polynesian area. Rumor has it that …read more

Last month, I posted a review of the Cape May Cafe at Walt Disney World’s Beach Club Resort. Actually, I posted two reviews – one in pictures and one with a written review and more pictures. I thought I’d follow that up today with some pictures of the lobby of the Beach Club Resort.

I love the lobbies in all of the hotels on Walt Disney World property, and the flowers are always spectacular. Make sure you stop and let it all sink in next time you’re at Disney.
