Disneyland Celebrates 45th Anniversary of Enchanted Tiki Room
Great find on Tiki Talk today – Disneyland will hold a special event on June 22, 2008 to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland in California.
Disney has contracted with several artists to create artwork to help celebrate the event. Some of the artists include Amanda Visell, Kevin Kidney & Jody Daily, Maggie Parr, Larry Nikolai, Jim Crouch, Michelle Valigura, George Scribner, and Dave Avanzino who will each be available during the event on June 22nd from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m to sign their Enchanted Tiki Room inspired merchandise (including paintings, mugs, letter plaques, sculptures and more).
You can see many of the artists’ works for the event and read artist bios on the Enchanted Tiki Room Anniversary event web page. The page is still in the process of being updated with all information on each artist and pictures of their pieces for the event.
I think my favorite piece listed so far is the giclee print from Disney Imagineer Jim Crouch that has yet to be titled but is pictured on the event website.
