I snapped some pictures of the new Disney Vacation Club Tower being built at the Contemporary Resort in Walt Disney World. This tower is a monster. I’m sure the interior will be gorgeous.

The Hidden Mickey that appears on the drain cover in the picture above can be found in the koi pond in front of the Japan pavillion in Epcot. Look for it next time you visit Epcot in Walt Disney World!

Tina Fey of “30 Rock” and “Saturday Night Live” fame took a break this past week to vacation at Walt Disney World with her husband, Jeff Richmond, and her 2-year old daughter, Alice.
Disney sent a picture of Tina Fey at Walt Disney World in front of Cinderella’s Castle at the Magic Kingdom posing with her family and Snow White. You can see the picture on the Theme Park Rangers website (part of the Orlando Sentinel newspaper). Walt Disney Parks and Resorts is partnering with Google Earth to deliver virtual visits to Walt Disney World, including the four theme parks and 22 hotels and resorts.
According to USA Today, later this month, computer users will be able to click on maps of 1,500 rides, restaurants and attractions (exterior building shots only at this point), which will provide 3D simulations as well as attraction details and videos. Users will even be able to check hotel rates and availability and make vacation reservations through the map.
