Visit Virtual Disney World Via Google Earth
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts is partnering with Google Earth to deliver virtual visits to Walt Disney World, including the four theme parks and 22 hotels and resorts.
According to USA Today, later this month, computer users will be able to click on maps of 1,500 rides, restaurants and attractions (exterior building shots only at this point), which will provide 3D simulations as well as attraction details and videos. Users will even be able to check hotel rates and availability and make vacation reservations through the map.
Disneyland Paris will be added soon with other Disney properties to follow. You can visit virtual Walt Disney World at disneyworld.com/3dparks or earth.google.com for free (again, they’re scheduled to launch later this month). Disney hopes the maps will help guests plan their vacations as a, “virtual walk-through of the whole property,” and, “one small step from actually being there.”
