Disney Rumor – Star Tours to Get an Overhaul
I picked up a cool tip from the Daily Travel and Deal Blog from the Los Angeles Times. According to an article on CNET, Hayden Landis, a computer graphics supervisor on Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, said his next project as part of the team at Lucasfilm’s Industrial Light & Magic will be re-doing Star Tours at Disneyland.
I wonder what the “redo” will entail? I also wonder if the upgrades will be to Star Tours at Disneyland only. With Star Wars Weekends coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World this month, this news is very timely and exciting!

I think they’re due for a makeover on the Star Tours in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but they should also take care to get the existing attraction fully functional too (a complaint I have about many existing Disney attractions).
It might be a small thing, but the AT-AT blasters that used to squirt water with motion and a sound effect haven’t worked in ages and I can’t remember the last time I heard the Ewok sound effects in the village. The devil’s in the details, I know, but Disney shouldn’t think these details go unnoticed by their guests.
