Save the Liberty Tree Tavern Character Dinner at Walt Disney World – Sign the Petition
As of January 2009, Disney will discontinue the character dinner held nightly at the Liberty Tree Tavern in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Currently, there are no plans to modify the pricing of the dinner experience at Liberty Tree Tavern nor are there plans to replace Goofy’s Liberate Your Appetite Character Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, which is a popular spot for families who want to dine with traditional Disney characters at the Magic Kingdom, including Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale.
To save Goofy’s Liberate Your Appetite Character Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, Disney fans started a petition asking Disney to reconsider its plan to discontinue the character dining portion of the Liberty Tree Tavern experience. Walt Disney was originally designed to provide a fantasy getaway for families. Disney corporate needs to stop siphoning off the magic (where are they shipping it to anyway?) before they eliminate the reason families go there in the first place.
