Lots of Disney news has been coming from the Orlando Sentinel during the past week or so.  Today, I have news to share about the Disney Magic cruise ship and cool upgrades that are coming!

A new 385-square-foot Fantasia-themed splash pool will be added onto the Mickey Pool on deck 9 of the ship, and it will be called Mickey’s Splash Zone.  As you’d expect, it will include elements related to the Sorcerer’s Apprentice part of the Fantasia movie with fountains shaped like stars and moons!  An area for babies in swim diapers will also be added.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve in Alaska announced last week (after CruiseCritic.com broke the news) that Disney submitted a contract proposal to launch a new Disney Cruise in Alaska sometime between January 1, 2010 and September 30, 2019 (that’s quite a timeframe, but that’s what the report says).
What do you think?  I think a Disney Cruise to Alaska would be so cool!

So you think your teenager won’t have fun on a family vacation?  No matter what you suggest he or she simply grunts and looks the other way?  Or perhaps he or she is more vocal with his or her distaste for all things that include the words “family” and “vacation” in the same sentence?

Toy Story – The Musical premiered on the Disney Wonder on April 10, 2008.  There has been a lot of hype about this show.  Seven original songs were written for the show, which features live actors and large-scale puppets telling the story of Woody and Buzz Lightyear in just under one hour.
Following is a video from the Orlando Sentinel which gives a short sneak peak at the show as well as some background information from Disney Imagineers.

Looks like a great show.  I need to go on a Disney Cruise soon!
