High Speed Train Between Disneyland and Las Vegas Might Become a Reality

Last week, President Bush signed a bill that includes $45 million to develop a high-speed levitating train that will run between Disneyland and Las Vegas.  A one-way trip would take less than two hours at speeds up to 300 mph.
Don’t get too excited yet.  The $45 million will be used to pay for environmental studies.  It’s not a done deal yet, but it sure sounds cool!

I picked up a cool tip from the Daily Travel and Deal Blog from the Los Angeles Times. According to an article on CNET, Hayden Landis, a computer graphics supervisor on Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, said his next project as part of the team at Lucasfilm’s Industrial Light & Magic will be re-doing Star Tours at Disneyland.

Indiana Jones and the Secrets of the Stone Tiger Opens at Disneyland

A new Indiana Jones show opened in Disneyland called Indiana Jones and the Secret of the Stone Tiger. The show is performed several times per day at Aladdin’s Oasis in Adventureland.
The new show is interactive and invites guest to find clues and decipher codes that will lead them to Indiana Jones, himself. This is sure to be a fun show for the entire family!

According to the OC Register, there are a lot of new attractions and additions coming to Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. Some of this news confirms rumors that have been circulating, and it’s really exciting.

Main Street Electrical Parade Returning to Disneyland

That’s the rumor according to Al Lutz at MiceAge – the Main Street Electrical Parade will be returning to Disneyland in 2009 after spending several years at Disney’s California Adventure.  A new lead float is also being proposed to replace the existing blue fairy, and a Tinkerbell float is the most popular rumor so far.

Mr. Potato Head Makes Surprise Appearance at Disney World and Disneyland

Toy Story Mania is schedule to open in Walt Disney World and Disneyland in California this summer. In February, I posted some rumors and sneak peaks about Toy Story Mania including information about the animatronic Mr. Potato Head who will act like a carnival barker interacting with guests as they wait in line.
Mr. Potato Head made a surprise appearance at Disneyland and Walt Disney World last week for testing. Check out the YouTube video below for a sneak peak.
