The Disney Traveler

As I promised last week, I went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and snapped some pictures of the new permanent home for photo opps with Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater of Disney’s Cars.
Luigi’s Garage is located where Al’s Toy Barn used to be.  Only the facade and decorations have changed.  Otherwise, the area looks the same as it used to.  However, instead of meeting Woody and Buzz Lightyear, guests can now meet Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater all day!  Check out the pictures below!

Finally, Ligthning McQueen and Tow Mater will get their own special place where Disney guests can snap pictures of their favorite Cars characters.  It will be Luigi’s Garage (I wonder if the tower of tires will be there).
The new Luigi’s Garage is now open in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
I think we’re taking the kids to Disney’s Hollywood Studios tomorrow (although with 4-year old triplets, there is always the chance they’ll change their minds and we’ll be off to the Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom instead).  If we make it there, I’ll take some pictures and post them on The Disney …read more

My son is Power Rangers-obsessed right now.  Can you guess what he’s going to be for Halloween?  If you guessed a Power Ranger, you’re right!  His latest obsession just began over the past month or so after borrowing a Power Rangers movie from the library.  With his latest obsession in mind, we made our way over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios today with a plan to meet the Power Rangers.

As a follow up to my Toy Story Mania review in pictures, I’d like to share my written review of the newest ride to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.
I’ll sum up my thoughts on Toy Story Mania in one word – fun!

Every weekend in June, characters from the Star Wars movies took over Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World for Star Wars Weekends.
Every day during Star Wars weekends there is a special parade filled with Star Wars characters in costume as well as some people in the original movie casts or involved in the original movie productions.  I snapped some great pictures of the Star Wars parade at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Sunday.  In fact, I got so many good pictures that I’m going to split them into two separate posts.

Earlier this year, I wrote a post announcing the new Disney American Idol attraction that’s coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World in January 2009.  Today, word is out that American Idol winner David Cook is filming a Disney commercial to help promote the new American Idol attraction in Walt Disney World – the American Idol Experience. 
I’m still not sold on this new Disney World attraction.  How about you?

Tomorrow a new attraction is opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.  It’s a walk-through tour called Journey into Narnia: Prince Caspian and is a revised and updated version of the previous Disney attraction, Journey into Narnia: Creating the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe that was used to hype the first movie in the Narnia series.

If you’ll be in the Central Florida area on July 4th, then you should definitely make plans to stop by Walt Disney World for one of the awesome fireworks displays Disney plans to put on to celebrate Independence Day.
