Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Celebrates Pears

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Celebrates Pears

I spent the day at the International Food and Wine Festival at Epcot yesterday and found an adorable area next to the America pavilion that celebrates pears!

The display area is set up to look like a circus with funhouse mirrors, pear matching games, spinning ferris wheels that provide fun facts about pears, and more.  There is also a coloring table for kids and a cold case where you can buy a variety of individual pears to try!  We sampled a super fresh and delicious Bartlett Pear – yummy!

Test Track Cool Wash at Epcot – Perfect for a Hot Day

Next time you’re at Epcot in Walt Disney World on a hot day (as most days are in Central Florida), stop by the Cool Wash station outside of Test Track.  You can get sprayed by a mist of water, take pictures with the Test Track car complete with a Test Track dummy inside drinking a Coke, and order a Frozen Coke, too!

Wall-E Comes to Disney World

Wall-E Comes to Disney World

Disney’s new animated movie, Wall-E, opens in theaters today, but Wall-E merchandise is already in stores at Walt Disney World.  I snapped this picture of the Wall-E merchandise inside the store in the Mission Space attraction in Epcot last week.

My 3-year old triplets knew nothing about Wall-E when they saw this display, but they immediately gravitated toward it and wanted a Wall-E toy.  Suffice it to say, we’ll definitely be seeing Wall-E in theaters.  I think we’ll wait a week or two for the crowds to die down a bit though.  I have a feeling Wall-E is going …read more

Another Great Year for Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival

Another Great Year for Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival

As the annual International Flower and Garden Festival draws closer to its end this year, I thought I would share a few more pictures of topiaries designed for Tinkerbell’s Garden which can be found adjacent to the rose garden walkway between World Showcase and Journey into Imagination.

T is for The Monkees – Check Out Davy Jones at Disney

T is for The Monkees – Check Out Davy Jones at Disney

Who’s the 60’s heart throb who Marcia Brady loved so much that I caught performing during the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival Flower Power Concert Series on Mother’s Day (how appropriate)?  It’s Davy Jones from The Monkees!
I saw The Monkees in concert in the 80s during their first revival.  I didn’t even realize Davy Jones was performing at Epcot on Sunday when I was there for the Mother’s Day Brunch, so it was a great surprise to walk by the ampitheater outside of the American Pavilion and hear “I’m a Believer” through the speakers.  I couldn’t stay for the …read more

Mother’s Day Brunch at Epcot – Review

Mother’s Day Brunch at Epcot – Review

To top off my review in pictures of the Mother’s Day Brunch at Epcot that I posted eariler this week, following is my written review of this annual event.
The Mother’s Day Brunch at Epcot is an event not to be missed for mothers and their families.  First, the timing of Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival always coincides with the Mother’s Day Brunch at Epcot when the incredible floral displays are at full bloom and simply spectacular.  As guests enter through the turnstiles in front of Epcot, Disney cast members greet mothers with carnations setting the mood for the celebration immediately.
