New Disney Vacation Club Treehouse Villas Coming to Disney’s Saratoga Spring Resort

Earilier this year, I posed the question on The Disney Traveler, “What ever happened to the Treehouses at Walt Disney World?”  I gave a rundown of what’s happening to them today in that post (follow the previous link to read it).
Now there is news of brand new Disney Vacation Club Treehouse Villas coming to Walt Disney World’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa in 2009.   As part of the Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa, Disney Vacation Club guests of the new Treehouse Villas will be able to use all of the amenities the resort has to offer in addition to a private Treehouse Villa pool.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort Bay Lake Tower for Disney Vacation Club Members Update

Disney’s Contemporary Resort Bay Lake Tower for Disney Vacation Club Members Update

Just a few weeks ago, I posted updated pictures showing how the construction on the new Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary Resort is coming in Walt Disney World.  Two weeks ago, I rode by the new tower on the monorail again, and more changes had been made.  Most of the windows were in place, and it appeared all was on track for a 2009 opening.
Disney has confirmed more details about the new Disney Vacation Club destination saying it will open in 2009 and will include:

Fort Wilderness Refurbs Moving Full Speed Ahead at Walt Disney World

Back in April, I published a post about major refurbishments coming to Fort Wilderness at Walt Disney World.  Now, more details are coming out about the camping destination’s overhaul, and it all sounds great.
In addition to the changes I wrote about in April (which you can read by following the link above), the Orlando Sentinel reports that you’ll soon see, “Segway scooter tours, a mini-water park, a dog park and an improved electric-cart rental operation.”

I took new pictures of the construction at the new Disney Vacation Club Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort last weekend.  Looks like things are moving along slowly since the last time I posted pictures of the construction of the new DVC tower in May.

I like the skyway that connects the main Contemporary Resort Tower to the new DVC tower.  I can’t wait to see the inside!

Today, I’m happy to have a guest post by a  fellow b5media Travel Channel blogger, Apryl Chapman Thomas.  If you don’t already read Apryl’s blog, Southern Byways, then you’re missing out!  Without further ado, here is Apryl’s guest post.
We did it.
We are now officially a part of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) family. Honestly, this is something I didn’t think we would ever do. My husband wasn’t a big fan of being locked into vacationing at one place, but over the years had a change of heart. We have always been big Disney people. We head to Orlando at least …read more
