Toy Story Mania at Walt Disney World – Review

Toy Story Mania at Walt Disney World – Review

As a follow up to my Toy Story Mania review in pictures, I’d like to share my written review of the newest ride to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.
I’ll sum up my thoughts on Toy Story Mania in one word – fun!
As you go through the ride entrance, you’re immediately met with a feeling that this ride is going to be fun!  The environment is created to make it look like you’ve been shrunk down to the size of one of Andy’s toys from the original Toy Story and Toy Story 2 movies.  Classic toys …read more

Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Decorates for Halloween – Part 2

As a follow up to yesterday’s post on The Disney Traveler that showed the first half of the pictures I took this weekend of the Halloween decorations at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, here is part 2!
As you come through the entrance of the Magic Kingdom and step onto Main Street USA, you’re welcomed by eight giant scarecrows.

The scarecrows are placed in pairs surrounding the flagpole.  I think the one above and below must be the mayor and his wife!

Michael Phelps, 2008 U.S. Gold Medalist (8-time Gold Medalist to be exact), was given a hero’s welcome at special event called “America’s Homecoming Parade” at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom today.  He was greeted with confetti and rode down Main Street U.S.A. with Mickey Mouse.  He also took some time to speak with some young swimmers from Orlando, Florida during his visit.
You can check out pictures of the events at Walt Disney World today on Michael Phelp’s Facebook page.

T-Rex Restaurant in Downtown Disney Opening October 14, 2008

T-Rex Restaurant in Downtown Disney Opening October 14, 2008

I was at Disney’s Animal Kingdom today eating dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, which always makes me think of the new T-Rex Restaurant that’s being built in Downtown Disney.  I realized I haven’t posted an update on the new T-Rex Restaurant since the beginning of June, so it’s definitely time for a new post.
I’m so excited for this restaurant to open.  My 4-year old triplets are really into dinosaurs right now, and I know they’re going to have a blast going to the T-Rex Restaurant when it opens on ….. October 14th, 2008.
What do you think about the new …read more
