Disney Rumor Alert - Are New Characters Coming to It’s a Small World at Disneyland
TMZ started this rumor, so I’m not sure how accurate it is but having seen nothing to deny it yet, I’m going to share it. Apparently, Disney is planning to add characters from Disney animated movies to the It’s a Small World attraction at Disneyland in California.
This is something Disney has already done in Hong Kong Disneyland, but it will be new in the original It’s a Small World ride. New character additions could include Abu from Aladdin in the Middle Eastern part of the ride and Stitch from Lilo and Stitch in the Polynesian area. Rumor has it that Disney Imagineers are already working on the new pieces to add to It’s a Small World.
We’ll have to wait and see how this one develops. It’s a Small World already has to be refurbished to accomodate heavier passengers, so adding additional characters should be easy. What do you think about character additions to the original It’s a Small World ride in Disneyland?

I think any addition would be wonderful. I wouldnt discard any of the original portions or themes but additions like those mentioned would be great. I know that my family enjoys Small World durring the holidays more than any other time because of the change in decorations and it just an explosion to all of your senses. We probably ride it atleast a couple dozen time a year, atleast once a month. I remember the thrill and amazement in both my little boys the first time they rode it durring Christmas. They were so familiar with it inside and out and then BAM !!! Its really an amazing show all the time. Some things are better left alone but others can really befun with a new twist. Just keep your mouse paws off my Enchanted TIKI ROOM though ! its perfect the way it is.
