Main Street Electrical Parade Returning to Disneyland
That’s the rumor according to Al Lutz at MiceAge - the Main Street Electrical Parade will be returning to Disneyland in 2009 after spending several years at Disney’s California Adventure. A new lead float is also being proposed to replace the existing blue fairy, and a Tinkerbell float is the most popular rumor so far.
What do you think? Will it be nice to have the Main Street Electrical Parade back at Disneyland or do you prefer it at Disney’s California Adventure?

Is this in addition to or replacing Spectromagic? I remeber seeing the Electric Light Parade before there was even an Epcot. I had a Disney record with a lot of the theme park songs on it. The Light Parade song was my favorite. I’m sure I drove my parents nuts playing it over and over again. We were just at Disney in March and loved the Spectomagic. I wouldn’t want to see that go. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Rachel, rumor has it the Main Street Electrical Parade is moving from Disney’s California Adventure back to Disneyland where it originated. Spectromagic at Walt Disney World would remain the same.

I grew up with the Main Street Electrical Parade on Main St. Thats where it belongs. We missed it so much and were thrilled when it came back from WDW. I am from a wholefamily of annual passholders and we love both California Adventure and most of all the Magic Kingdom but there is no better place to see ANY parade than right down the middle of Main Street USA.

I am So thrilled! I hope this rumor will turn out to be true!
But i don’t want the blue fairy to be replaced, but it would be nice just to add the float to the parade!
I am so going to disneyland Next year!!!!!!!!

it will be awesome however i wish they could add new floats like pixar floats like the one at Tokyo disneyland

I like it in either place. I think Disneyland is much more of a magical place for it to be in comparison to California Adventure though. As long as the parade continues is fine. They should never get rid of it, as it’s a classic and Disneyland is in desperate need of keeping the classics around.
