]]> pirate-ship.jpgThe Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival began earlier this month, and the pirate theme is heavily featured.  As guests enter the park through the turnstiles, they are greeted by a huge topiary depicting a pirate ship, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and Captain Hook.  As an added surprise, Stitch makes an appearance behind the pirate ship.

Another set of topiaries featuring the pirate theme can be found at the entrance to World Showcase.  Here guests will find giant topiaries of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and more Disney characters dressed in full pirate costumes. 

I’m constantly amazed at the intricate and beautiful work done by Walt Disney World’s horticultural staff.  The topiaries created for the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival are always a highlight of the event, and this year’s pirate themed topiaries are amazing to see.
