Toy Story Mania Tips

Toy Story Mania Tips

I received my Summer 2008 copy of “Mickey Monitor” (the Disney annual passholder newsletter), and I was excited to find some sneak peak tips about the new Toy Story Mania ride that’s opening in Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World and Disneyland this summer.
The ride is schedule to open in Walt Disney World at the end of this month.  I can’t wait.  Passholders can go to a Passholder Preview on May 10th-12th from 9 am to 7 pm each day and when they show their Annual Passes and Photo IDs, they can ride Toy Story Mania before it opens to the …read more

View a NASA Shuttle Launch During Your Disney World Trip

Viewing a NASA shuttle take-off is an amazing experience, and one that you just might be able to coordinate with your Walt Disney World vacation.  Kennedy Space Center is less than an hour from Walt Disney World, and it’s easy to check the schedule for shuttle launches in advance of your Disney vacation on the Shuttle Launch Schedule page of NASA’s website.  You can buy tickets to view the launch from the closest viewing location open to the public on the Kennedy Space Center ticket site.

Radical Scripting Changes for the Haunted Mansion

Radical Scripting Changes for the Haunted Mansion

For 40 years, the servants of the Haunted Mansion have been welcoming guests in the same macabre way.  As guests enter the foyer and the portrait room, they’re typically greeted by one of those servants delivering a droll pun such as, “Drag your wretched bodies to the dead center of the room.”  Well, those days are over.

Epcot Quick Tip: The Trains at the Germany Pavilion

Don’t forget to take some time to see the elaborate train display outside of the Germany pavilion in Walt Disney World’s Epcot. You can also buy model trains inside the shops at the Germany pavilion.

Don’t Carry Packages – You’re on Vacation

Don’t Carry Packages – You’re on Vacation

When I am on vacation, I don’t want to do any work, and to me, carrying anything is work, not to mention inconvenient.  This is especially true at Walt Disney World where guests are continuously getting on and off theme park rides.  I know from experience that packages are not only cumbersome on most Walt Disney World rides, but they can often be a complete nuisance.  For example, trying to fit in a “rocket” on Space Mountain with anything larger than a cell phone is a challenge fit for a contortionist.  Of course, I am exaggerating, but only a bit.
