Party at Walt Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Every day (except Saturday and Tuesday) from 10:30 a.m – 12:00 p.m., the Garden View Tea Lounge hosts a very special tea party that is simply perfect for princesses.

Children are encouraged to dress in their favorite princess attire for this special event. As each small princess enters the Garden View Tea Lounge, she is announced as if she is attending a royal ball. Rose petals are thrown at her feet, and undoubtedly, she will feel like royalty herself. She and her adult companion will enjoy a menu of sandwiches, cheese, fruit and cake along with their tea. Throughout the party, a costumed Disney cast member named Rose Petal tells stories and leads the guests in songs. Princess Aurora from Disney’s “Sleeping Beauty” makes a grand appearance as well.

Each child receives several gifts just for coming to the Perfectly Princess Tea Party, which according to the Walt Disney World website, currently include a ribbon tiara, a silver princess link bracelet, a fresh rose, a princess scrapbook set and a “Best Friend” certificate. Best of all, each child is presented with their own 18” My Disney Girl doll dressed in a Princess Aurora gown including accessories.

The price of the tea party for one child and one adult is extravagant at $225 (including the gratuity but not tax). An additional adult can join the party for $75 (plus tax), and an additional child can participate for $150 (plus tax). For that steep price, guests receive royal treatment and delicious food and a variety of special gifts for the little princess to take home and enjoy.

I have not attended the Perfectly Princess Tea Party, but I’ve watched it. I’m not convinced that $225 is worth it for this party, but it would be a very special memory for a mother and daughter to share. If you can afford it or just want to create a lifelong memory with your little princess, this could be the perfect party for you.

Post from: The Disney Traveler

World’s Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. In true Disney fashion, there is a lot more to do at Fort Wilderness than sleeping under the stars. In fact, one of the best Disney shows, the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is held at Pioneer Hall in Fort Wilderness. This show has been entertaining audiences for over 30 years. I remember seeing it as a small child in the mid-1970s. I loved the show then, and I still love it today. It’s fun for the entire family and just a short Disney bus ride from any Walt Disney World resort.

The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a vaudeville show with music and theatrical comedy. The audience is involved in every aspect of the frontier-themed dinner show. The actors mingle in the audience and invite adults and children to dance and play washboards, jugs and other instruments. Several audience members are even selected to join the actors on stage, don costumes and act in a skit. There is a real family, hoe-down atmosphere, and everyone is expected to have a lot of fun.

During the show, guests enjoy a delicious all-you-can-eat, down-home meal of corn on the cob, beans, fried chicken, barbequed pork ribs, salad, bread and strawberry shortcake. Unlimited drinks (draft beer, wine, sangria and soft drinks) are also included. Tickets range in price from $30-$50 per guest. The Hoop-Dee-Doo-Revue is one of the most popular shows in Walt Disney World, so be sure to make your reservations early. You won’t want to miss the fun!

Post from: The
