The concept is built around water, fire and ice — guests visiting T-Rex will be greeted with life size animatronic dinosaurs that live among cascading waterfalls, bubbling geysers, a fossil dig site and much more.

Interestingly, Landry’s Restaurants also owns The Rainforest Cafe (with locations in Downtown Disney and Animal Kingdom), Chart House and a number of other popular restaurant chains around the world. I can’t wait for T-Rex to open in Downtown Disney. Based on the construction I saw on Wednesday, it’s going to be a long time before the restaurant will open its doors. I’ve heard speculations of T-Rex opening in early 2008 and Summer 2008. Summer seems more realistic, but I wish it were sooner. I know my kids are going to love this restaurant!

Post from: The Disney Traveler
